The game’s aesthetic vividly portrays how exploring dungeons and fighting foul monsters is a dangerous business. The pure liquid inside imbues the drinker with determination and hope, allowing them to fight even when everything looks bleak.It is fair to say that Darkest Dungeon has captured my attention and imagination in recent weeks. Using this potion is generally not advised unless in dire situations.įinally the glowing vile to the farthest right contrasts the potion mentioned prior. It allows the all the senses of the drinker to become heightened at the cost of their life energy. The red bottle with the skull stamp on it is a risky potion to consume. The bottle with the sticker makes the consumer a bit more agitated and allows them to hit harder due to their anger. The tiny vile on the second row causes the person to become restless and hyper, making them able to deal and dodge attacks more frequently. ![]() However, the alcohol that it provides is quite different from what you'd normally expect and instead increases focus for a certain amount of time. The liquid inside is also reminiscent of that. The tall bronze bottle is reminiscent of a beer bottle. The bottle with the green liquid is a weak tonic that gradually provides health to your hero if they're ever injured. The potions presented are pretty cool themselves! I'll briefly tell you about them:Īt the top going from left to right, the one with the coiled snake shape allows the player to become one with the shadows and allow them to evade most attacks. ![]() The more you adventure, the more stressed your heroes become, so you have to strategically manage your team as you make your way through the campaign. In case you don't know about the game, Darkest Dungeon is essentially a dungeon-crawler/RPG-based game that has unique stress mechanics caused by dark themes presented in the game. (Also, sorry for the pixelation these are blown up versions of the original size, and I couldn't be bothered re-editing them >.< ) I worked on the art, while he worked on the coding! And let me just say, it was so much fun creating these designs! So my brother and I were working on a mod for a game called Darkest Dungeon that added 7 more potions. ![]()
